Honoring Vision

I am here in gratitude for the blessing of life. I give thanks for the gift of sight, in all its forms. I know what to do; I just need a little reminder now and again. Standing in the East, I greet the new day - the promise of a great adventure. Find me on the precipice of fresh awareness.

Teach me to begin by caring deeply and to let that caring stretch out over the horizon on Eagle's wings. Show me how to take that step over the edge into the unknown—to remember that risk brings learning, even through our mistakes. Steep me in the waters of trust, so that my toes will not be afraid to touch the mysterious future. Remind me that I am responsible for what comes next—that the past is a good educator, but not always a reliable compass. Help me prioritize my health, the health of others, and the Mama planet. Help me organize and assemble, and share my ideas with others. Help me to find ways to clear the obstacles that congest the pathways I'm trying to reach through. Show me how to apply my caring nature to the world, so that it's a better place for everyone, a place where we love to live. Help me do my part to create that world. Here and now, help me envision it, without idealism and pretense. Give me the strength and tenacity to endure, to do the inner housekeeping that allows me to make a difference, and let me move into the next phase with confidence. Ground me. Lift me up. Ready us for what's to come by putting my feet on the bright path.
