From Practice to Transformation

Yoga in DeMun’s evolution is a personal journey deeply shaped by the voices and needs of its students. Founded by Christy Lin in St.Louis, United States in 2014, it began as a community studio dedicated solely to yoga and meditation. Since COVID, Christy has received increasing invitations from students, small groups, and organizations seeking experiences centered around healing, strength, and the need to find clarity in their life — cultivating self-awareness, overcoming personal obstacles, and reconnecting with their potential.

What started as teaching movement and mindfulness has grown into a deep listening that Christy honors each individual's unique story and challenges. She realized no two journeys are the same; each student deserves to be seen, heard, and supported so their true light can shine. Yoga and meditiaton practice is great, but she sense there is a need to go deeper than yoga and meditation practice, with this realization, she began to hold more space for one-on-one settings, and then many magical moments happened that went beyond both her and her students' expectations.

After nearly 600 hours of one-on-one conversations and private sessions since 2022, She chose to dedicate more of her time to study and professional development, and in 2025 became a certified professional coach. Now, Christy integrates coaching, yoga, and meditation — and leads pilgrimage journeys in Peru — to support a complete and embodied experience of personal growth and transformation moving forward with inner stability, confidence, and new vision.

Yoga in DeMun’s Evolution

Yoga in DeMun’s evolution is a personal journey deeply shaped by the voices and needs of its students. Since 2014, Christy has walked alongside her community through three transformative stages — growing, adapting, and thriving to meet students exactly where they are in their journey.

2014 – 2021: Yoga and Meditation
This first stage focused on cultivating awareness through movement and stillness. Christy guided students to connect body, breath, and mind, building a strong foundation of mindfulness and self-care.

2022 – 2024: Yoga, Meditation, Private Sessions, and Wellness Retreats in Italy

As students sought deeper connection and renewal, Yoga in Demun expanded into personalized experiences and international retreats, offering space for rest, reflection, and growth.

2025 and Beyond: Yoga, Meditation, Private Sessions, 1:1 Coaching, and Pilgrimage Journey in Peru

Today, Christy integrates coaching into her offerings, blending mindful movement, ask deep reflective conversation, and spiritual exploration. Students can join in-studio, on Zoom, or privately, or go on a sacred pilgrimage in Machu Picchu with local communitey to experience stillness, making space for deep connection with themselves and transformation at their own pace.

Yoga in DeMun continues to evolve — honoring each student’s unique path toward healing, clarity, and authentic living.

1 year annivesary! December 4th, 2015

In November, 2014, I walked into a Taekwondo studio and asked a man sitting behind the desk if I could teach yoga in his space. At the same time, I worried about paying the rent because I was a new yoga teacher without any followers. Ted said to me, "Don't worry, just come and teach." Ted's open heart and trust in me became the foundation and the beginning of Yoga In DeMun. Then I began to teach without a formal opening. I thought to myself, "I will celebrate if I could make it to the one-year anniversary." Then we did, then the 2nd year, 5th year... now 10 years.

At first, yoga came into my life to help me regain my health so I could stay in St. Louis, but through having a studio and teaching, I realized it led me down a sacred path of self-growth and transformation, which I only realized 10 years later.
