How to take my first international trip

Step-by-Step Guide For Solo Traveler

你好,Hello, Ciao! You can call me Christy. I am a native of Taiwan and have been living in St. Louis, United States since 2007. Since Taiwan is located almost opposite the United States, there is no direct path for me to go home. When I visit my family, I often take the opportunity to have an adventure on my way between Taiwan and the United States. I usually take a detour through Europe or the Middle East, which is right in between the East and the West. This extended journey, combined with the fact that I usually travel solo, allows me to fully immerse myself in the places and connect with local people at my own pace. According to my Google map, I have visited 14 countries and 124 cities, so I have been contributing to the airline and Airbnb for at least 16 years. It expands my worldview and gives me strength for life, and so I hope that I can share them with you here.

The resources provided here are designed to help my students who are traveling to Rome from the U.S. for our Yoga Wellness Retreat in Italy 2024 If you are living in the U.S. and planning to visit a European country for the first time, you will find them resonating with you. All the suggestions and experiences shared here are based on my personal experiences.

I hope these tips are helpful for you as you embark on your first journey to your dream destination!
