Sacred Heart Pilgrimage  ·  Sacred Valley, Peru  ·  July 13 – 22, 2026

Do you feel the quiet pull that something in your life needs to shift?

What if that quiet pull is pointing you toward something meaningful?

Held by mountains that have witnessed ten thousand years of human searching. Guided by a lineage that has never been written down — only lived. This is your invitation to stop, listen, and find the thread that leads you back to yourself.

Led by Christy Lin — who has walked this land, been received by its wisdom keepers, and returned to offer you the same path she walked.

A moment of reflection

Something in these words might feel familiar.

You have built a life that looks full from the outside. You show up, you deliver, you care for others. And yet somewhere underneath all of that — quietly, persistently — there is a voice asking if this is really all there is. You haven't had the time to stop and truly listen to it. Not yet.

You have already been searching. You have sat in meditation, read the books, attended the workshops. You have had moments of real clarity — and then watched them fade back into ordinary life. You sense that what you are looking for isn't more knowledge. It's something you can only find by going deeper, and slower, than you've allowed yourself to go.

Something in your life is changing — or needs to change. You can feel it. Maybe it's a career that no longer fits. A relationship that has shifted. A version of yourself that is quietly asking to be released. You don't need someone to tell you what to do next. You need the space to finally hear what you already know.

From those who walked before you

If you feel the pull but also sense a feeling of uncertainty — you are not alone.

Every person who joined our pilgrimage retreat in 2025 came with their own set of experience of pulling in between. Below is their self-reflection after their journey.

Will Before: searching for something he couldn't name

"It is the best gift I gave to myself in a long time."

Will arrived on his own, not knowing what to expect. He describes the experience as one of the rare moments when you stop performing and simply return to yourself.

— Will, 2025 pilgrimage
Alan Before: caught in the daily minutiae

"More than one month later, I remain touched by the experience."

More than a month after returning home, the shift stayed with Alan. He found himself naturally drawn to what truly matters — family, health, the bigger picture — rather than getting lost in what doesn't.

— Alan, 2025 pilgrimage
Marianne and Ryan Before: wanting to share something real before a big life change

"Every moment was so beautiful. The heart of the people is so alive and generous."

Marianne and Ryan joined together before Ryan moved to New York. What they found was far more than anticipated — a lifetime memory they now carry with them separately.

— Marianne & Ryan, 2025 pilgrimage

Your retreat leader — Christy Lin, holding space for you

I didn't create this from a curriculum.
I created it from a longing.

For as long as I can remember, I have longed for a certain kind of experience — one that moves beyond sightseeing and goes deep into living culture, sacred land, and wisdom that is still alive. That longing brought me across more than 20 countries and 100 sacred sites, including the high-altitude shores of Namtso Lake in Tibet and the ancient cave-dwelling communities of Matera, Italy.

Originally from Taiwan and having lived in the United States for nearly 20 years, with over 12 years of teaching yoga and meditation across the US and Asia — I felt a calling. Not to create another retreat, but to collaborate with local communities and transform the way we travel. To move from being a visitor passing through, to being welcomed into someone's home. To learn their language, taste their food, understand their way of being, and receive their wisdom. To return home changed — with a new perspective, and perhaps even a new way of living.

Spending a month in Peru in 2025 changed me in ways I did not expect. From the moment I arrived, I felt an immediate sense of homecoming — as if something in me already knew this land. I also discovered a deep and surprising resonance between Andean wisdom and the culture I grew up with in Taiwan. Two worlds that appear so different on the surface, and yet speak the same language underneath. It reminded me, again, that the world is far more connected than it looks — and that separation is often just a story we have been told.

"This journey comes from my heart. It is the journey I have been searching for — for myself, for a long time. And now, it is an invitation for you to find your own — one step, one breath, one moment at a time."

A conversation with Christy

Questions people ask before they say yes.

These are real questions from people who felt the pull — and wanted to understand a little more before taking the step.

Christy, I have never done anything like this before, but I would like to try. How do I know if I feel ready?

Christy

I completely understand — and there is a big difference between knowing something and experiencing it. When it comes to any first experience, you will never feel ready until you try. Readiness is not something you find before you go. It's something you discover along the way, through your own experience — not mine, and not anyone else's.

What I would ask instead is: do you feel drawn to this? And if so — how can I help you feel more comfortable taking that step? For me, I always know why I travel. I love learning about other cultures. I love people. I love having my own experience — and I have learned that not everyone values the same things I care about, and that is perfectly okay. What matters is that when you travel with a group of people who share the same intention, led by someone who has walked this path before — you are in good hands.

How is this different from other yoga retreats I've been to?

Christy

I also lead retreats in Italy, where we move through the Tuscan hills each morning — connecting with history, local life, and the land itself. This pilgrimage in Peru is different in depth and intention.

Over ten days, you will move through sacred sites, valleys, mountain communities, and ancient landscapes — weaving together physical movement, personal reflection, and genuine cultural immersion. In between, there is space for massage, sound healing, and gentle yoga. But what makes this journey truly different is harder to describe: you will begin to feel yourself stepping into a different sense of time, space, and way of being — rooted in reverence and reciprocity.

I really want to go, but I would be travelling alone. Do you think I will fit in?

Christy

Before we even arrive in Cusco, you and I will have already met. I meet with every participant individually over Zoom before the journey, and we also gather as a group online about a month before departure — so by the time you land in Peru, you will already have faces and voices to recognise.

That said, many people choose to travel solo precisely because they want time to focus on themselves and the freedom to be fully present. I travel solo myself most of the time — it is honestly my favourite way to travel. And in a place like the Sacred Valley, the land itself holds you. You will have plenty of time in your own space, in your own silence. Sometimes, no words are needed — and that is exactly the point.

What do people usually feel when they come back home after this journey?

Christy

The most common thing I hear is: "Something has settled in me that I didn't know was unsettled." People don't always come back with answers. But they come back quieter, more themselves, more clear about what truly matters.

Alan told me more than a month after returning home that he was still touched. Will said it was the best gift he had given himself in a long time. It doesn't always look dramatic from the outside. But inside, something has moved — slowly, quietly, and in its own time.

For me personally, I never truly felt I left the Sacred Valley — even a year later. And now I am about to return again. Not because I planned to. But because I felt pulled to go back. That, perhaps, is the truest answer I can give you about what this place does to you.

Your spiritual guide in the mountains

Don Rufino Turpo —
Pampamisayoq of Apu Ausangate

We are honoured to journey with Don Rufino Turpo, a respected Altomisayoq and spiritual guide from the community of Pacchanta, at the foothills of the sacred Apu Ausangate.

"The mountains are not only majestic landscapes, but wise beings that teach us how to live in balance and reciprocity."

Don Rufino comes from a family of Andean priests who have carried the sacred connection with the Apus — mountain spirits — and Pachamama for generations. Being received in this lineage is a rare privilege that very few international travellers ever experience.

A Warm Welcome to the Retreat

Christy and our lovely driver from Munay Sonqo will be waiting for you at Cusco airport on July 13th at 11:00 a.m. From there, we go together — as a group, as a circle — merging into the Sacred Valley for the very first time. Your first glimpse of the Andes will slowly take your breath away.

To Arriving Fully

The first four days are intentionally slow. The Andes sit at high altitude, and both body and mind need time to truly arrive. During these days, you will be gently invited into the rhythm of the Sacred Valley — through ceremony, sound healing, stargazing, deep tissue massage, organic food grown from the local land, and genuine, unhurried rest. This is slow living at its most nourishing. Throughout every day there is space — for yoga, deep massage, a visit to a nearby waterfall, spa time, rest, and simply being at ease in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

The Heart of the Pilgrimage

On Days 8 and 9, the heart of our pilgrimage begins. We travel toward Apu Ausangate — one of the most sacred mountains in the entire Andes — where sacred lagoons and natural hot springs open beneath the wide-open sky. Here, a locally respected Andean wisdom keeper will guide us through high mountain landscapes, holding ceremony by the sacred waters and sharing their way of being in deep relationship with the natural world — the mountain, the river, the rock, the stars.

This is the part of the journey that is hardest to describe in words. And the part that people carry with them longest after they return home.

A Small Group. A Deep Journey.

This is a small group — because I believe that healing, nourishment, and true transformation unfold naturally, at their own pace, with plenty of space to feel and simply be. Every person who joins this journey is someone who feels ready to go a little deeper — not just into Peru, but back home to themselves. To allow whatever needs to unfold, transform, and emerge to arrive exactly as it is.

Don Rufino Turpo, our Spiritual Guide, for your journey Pampamisayoq of Sacred Apu Ausangate

We are honored to share this journey with Don Rufino Turpo, a respected Altomisayoq and spiritual guide from the community of Pacchanta, at the foothills of the sacred Apu Ausangate. Don Rufino comes from a family of Altomisayoq, Andean priests who have carried the sacred connection with the Apus (mountain spirits) and Pachamama (Mother Earth) for generations. Guided by ancestral wisdom, he serves as a bridge between the spiritual and natural worlds, bringing messages of harmony, gratitude, and respect for all life. With deep humility and presence, Don Rufino shares the living traditions of the Andes, reminding us that the mountains are not only majestic landscapes, but wise beings that teach us how to live in balance and reciprocity. His guidance and prayers invite us to walk this pilgrimage with open hearts, listening to the voice of the Earth and the spirit of the Andes.

Two women standing with arms outstretched on a mountain overlooking turquoise lakes and rugged peaks under a partly cloudy sky.

The Apu Ausangate is the main mountain of the Andean World

The Apu Ausangate is the main mountain of the Andean world. He is the great Father who brings the family together. Everything revolves around the mystique and sponsorship of him. There resides an energy called Rual, which is the soul of everything created. My teachers told me that there are two slopes that derive from its center. The lloque path (left) and the paña path (right). The route of the Q’eros is the right path, and the Turpo lineage is the left current. We have the vision and the purpose of starting together an initiatory path in this knowledge and power transmissions in both lineages (Turpo and Q’ero) since both sources are very pure and complementary. We are called to be the bridges of this ancient wisdom to spread the seed of hope through our conscious walk. The path we are about to take will make us Pampamisayoq, man/woman-bridge (Mediator between the human world and the spiritual world).

Christy Lin — Sacred Heart Journey Leader

This pilgrimage is a shedding of what no longer serves, and a gentle opening to what is ready to emerge in your life. It is a homecoming — back to your heart, back to the earth, and back to the truth of who you are.

After many years of teaching yoga and meditation across the United States and Asia — and immersing myself in various wisdom traditions — I felt a deep calling to create experiences that go far beneath the surface of modern travel or quick getaway retreats. I wanted to offer something that truly reconnects us with the earth, with ancient lineages and living wisdom, with local communities, and with the truest parts of ourselves.

I envisioned a space where we could step outside the looping patterns of daily life and rediscover who we are when we feel free from the layers of conditioning — where reflection, presence, and inner clarity naturally arise.

Spending a month in Peru changed me profoundly. Not only did I feel an immediate sense of home, but I also discovered powerful parallels between Andean teachings and the ancient Chinese wisdom I grew up with — the sun and the moon, yin and yang, the harmony between heaven, earth, and human. This unexpected resonance opened something deep within me, and I knew in my heart I was meant to return and continue learning.

Our 11-day Sacred Heart Pilgrimage has been lovingly woven from my own lived experiences, the devotion of our Peruvian team, and the guidance of many spiritual teachers — each one a living expression of the wisdom they carry. It is a path designed for your return: to your heart, to vitality, to clarity, to connection, and to a deeper sense of aliveness.

We invite you to walk this path of ancient Inca remembering — to be held by the mountains, guided by local spiritual leaders, embraced by the community, and awakened by the song of the rivers and the stillness of the sacred lagoons.

We look forward to welcoming you in Peru!

With love,

Christy Lin & the Munay Sonqo family

You are not just a traveler passing through. You become part of a living reciprocity, what the Andean people call Ayni — where what you receive and what you give are one and the same.
