She invites you to back to the simple way of living through practicing yoga and meditation. In her class, she awaken your inner awareness, and challenges your balance and strength, both physically and mentally, from movement to stillness. She encourage you to build a new foundation and perspective from where you are, while infusing the art of eastern philosophy to help you embrace your new path of transformation.
Christy is a Taiwan-born American citizen. When yoga came to her life in her late 20s, she was amazed by new energy and a profound clarity which she had never felt before starting her practice. She decided that yoga would be her healthcare, and that helped her find a balance between her life here in the West and her native home in the East for the next decade. During this time, she almost lost her father. This experience transformed her practice from physical to spiritual. She developed a deeper understanding through different forms of suffering, and she realized that physical practices are one of a variety of paths that can lead us to build a loving relationship within ourselves and to find a sense of wholeness.
After founding Yoga In DeMun, she continued deepening her knowledge by studying anatomy as well as the systems of the emotional and spiritual body with senior teachers Annie Adamson, Rachel Scott, Dr. Peter Levine, Eckhart Tolle, and Dr. Vasant Lad. She is extremely grateful for all the students and teachers that make her be a better person each day. Christy supports her students in private session and group setting. She also works closely with schools, organizations and medical field develop well-being programs that evoke connection and wellness.
