Therapeutic Massage Therapy Ball Session
A step-by-step guide to reduce pain, improve mobility and live better in your body.
You can heal your pain. You just need to learn how
You have the power, and enormous potential for healing and building a healthy relationship with yourself, and the areas of your body that are catalysts for pain and injury. These areas are overused, underused, misused, abused, or need to be felt, seen, and heard by YOU. In this session, Christy will introduce a therapeutic, powerful tool that helped her heal from a personal injury in the past few years (Fall down from horse in 2015 but never go to hospital), and many who lives with pain on the daily basis. No longer you are depends on someone to help you feel better. Empowering yourself to intuitively and authoritatively address your need as they arises to reducing your pain, irritation, or emotional suffering in a self-compassionate and long-lasting way. You are on your path to true self-care.
A New Model of Self-Care Healthcare
In this session , Christy will help you alleviate tension and pain you currently experiencing with 3 different sizes of dense "grip & grab" texture of therapy balls that provide a deep myofascial massage that helps you identify blind spot in your body that often overlook until the pain revealed. Massage these spots has a benefit of improving circulation and perfusion among the internal and external surfaces of your tissues. When your tissues are clear of the cellular debris that accompanies aches and pains, your muscles function and "breathe" better on the inside. You will go home with a pair of therapy balls. They will catapult your ability and awareness to heal yourself and prevent further injury.
They Relieve Aches and Pains:
Overuse: Using one muscle group more than another can develop from a habit like being right-handed or from compensating on one side of the body while avoiding the other. Underuse: Underused body parts are perpetually ignored by your movement habits, whether in your daily life or in your expression of fitness.
Misused: So many muscles are used inappropriately. Misuse occurs when you use a certain muscle for a task and it becomes hard-wired for those movement patterns.
They Increase your Mobility and Energy Level
Being stagnant makes you feel sluggish, and when you feel sluggish and in pain, you don't want to move! It's a vicious cycle that continues to weaken the body as it perpetuates poor circulation, muscle and join stiffness and inertia. The ball coax motion into tissues that are tired, achy. These moping muscles need to be refreshed, mobilized, and revitalized with the grippy pressure that the balls provide. The balls compress and elongate dormant and tired tissues and introduce circulation back into the most recalcitrant areas. After a few minutes of rolling, these loosened areas will feel like moving and encourage to use more of your body in everyday actions.
They Reduce Stress and Anxiety
Stress wreaks havoc on every system of the body. A chronically stressed body is stuck in the fight-or-flight response. This is a body whose nervous system is on sympathetic overload. Long-term exposure to high levels of the stress hormone cortisol creates inflammation, impedes circulation, and reduces muscle function by stiffening muscles. The pressure of the balls offers a micro-stretch to the tissues they touch. This recalibrates the muscle's resting length by switching off nerves that were maintaining unnecessary tension in that muscle. As the muscle relaxation helps your body breathe better, which further reduces nervousness and anxiety.

I contact Christy last month for a private session using yoga balls with the hope that it would alleviate life-long neck & back pain. I had no prior experience or knowledge of working with yoga balls and I liked how Christy spent time with me in the first part of our meeting helping me understand the anatomy of muscles and how tension can easily build up without proper stretching (or yoga ball work). The rest of our meeting was spent working with the balls on my effected areas and I felt less pain immediately after our session & in the days to follow. I highly suggest anyone interested in learning about how to feel better in their body reach out to Christy ... I will continue to work with her any opportunity.
