Yoga In DeMun is delighted to offer our beloved and diverse community ninety minutes of sacred ceremony consisting of
Christy's deep stretching sequences and guided meditation, followed by Pamela's therapeutic Crystal Bowl Sound Bath.
Stillness and sound are abiding aspects of our ancient knowing. When we allow dedicated time to hold space for this particular blend,
they become gateways to sweet surrender and inner peace. We invite you to immerse yourself in this style of sustainable self-care
in order to rest, ground and be inspired to live with an open heart.
Good to Know:
Wear layered, loose comfortable clothes that breathe and allow you to move freely, and socks to keep you warm in final resting pose.
Come to class with clean bare feet. Avoid eating a heavy meal 1-2 hours before practice and mind your hygiene.

Intuitive Sound Healer
Pamela Nicks has been both a teacher and a massage therapist. Her interest in the healing power of relaxation and sound was prompted by an illness in 2007, during which time she called upon her musical talent to tap her body's innate ability to rebalance. This combination of sound and relaxation supported her recovery and inspired her to explore the many ways of healing and making sound.
While Pamela is an accomplished pianist, she is especially thrilled to share this particular gift of therapeutic Crystal Bowl Sounds which those who are the path of self-care through body, mind, and spirit practices.

Christy’s class is more than yoga.She guides you to find your strength within, and challenges your balance and concentration with her creative energy flow movements while always stressing the importance of proper posture. She also shares the art of meditation and eastern philosophy with her students. She invites you to empower yourself through her instruction.
Christy was born and raised in Taiwan. For the past 12 years, she was traveling, studying and working between Japan, Canada and The United States. In 2008, she began her first yoga class after experiencing cruel winter here in St. Louis. She was amazed at the change in her body both physically and mentally. It has helped her stay healthy and find the balance between Eastern and Western life, on and off the mat. In 2011, she almost lost her Father. This experience had shifted her practice from physical to mental and spiritual. She came to believe our practice is about learning from life journey, not the destination.
She believes teaching is just another way of learning. Therefore, she enjoy share her practice with the broader St. Louis community. After founding Yoga In DeMun ,she also has unfolded her mat with the students of Washington University, the staffs of Saint Louis Zoo and local companies. Christy is currently study functional anatomy in yoga, and how to restore our health through natural movement between St. Louis and Portland.
